We have been able to have a taste of our home grown goodness. Sunday night we were able to eat our first zucchini and it was so good. Monday night we had another zucchini and a yellow squash. It has been a bit of work growing our garden but totally worth it when we get to eat fresh vegetables.
We are lucky to have such healthy plants this year. For about the first three weeks or so the sprinklers were malfunctioning and nothing got watered. We did lose a few but who needs cantaloupe and watermelon anyway?
Both of the girls love the vegetables. Maycee tried to eat them after we picked them. She was licking the zucchini and took a little bite before I got it away from her.
Maycee stuffed her face during dinner. It makes the girls so happy to be able to help out. Kimberlen will come out with me to pull weeds when they start to take over. Next year we are opting for the weed barrier to help with that.

Your garden looks great! I wish we would've got our garden going this year. So far we have only had one good year of us really trying. Maybe next year. Your garden will be my inspiration. :)
