Back to School

She said she couldn't smile because of the sun in her eyes, so this is the best we could do for a smile. Let alone it was taking up too much time and we could be on our way to school. Geez Mom!
Today Kimberlen went to First Grade! She was so excited to get to go to school all day long. It started last night with her being worried that she was not going to get 12 hours of sleep if she had to get up at 7 and it was 8 when she went to bed. Of course it all worked out just fine. She was quite the chatter box while we were trying to get her ready, I think it was the anticipation. I finally had to tell her that if she didn't stop talking and asking so many questions she would never be able to finish her cereal and would be late for school. That shut her right up. While we were doing hair and the rest of the morning she kept singing "Today is my first day of first grade" it was too cute.
This is her teacher in the background talking to one another mom. And Kimberlen doing her usual thing and watching other people instead of paying attention to the task at hand.

It is sad how fast they grow up.:( But then it is also pretty exciting to see them go through these steps in their lives. Gotta love how excited kids get. I remember I couldn't sleep when I knew is was the first day of school cause I didn't want to oversleep. With the way you explain the story I'm surprised Kimberlen could sleep at all.
