Mesquite

Last weekend I was able to head down to Mesquite with my Mother-in-law, her Sister-in-law and Her Daughter. We left Friday mid morning and got there about 4 and visited with Eric's Grandparents for awhile. We went and saw the comedy show at the Casa Blanca and laughed our butts off.
Then had drinks and watched the band play, but they were terrible.

Here we are: Kelly, Michelle, Me, Ann.

We then went to the Virgin River to listen to their band for a while too. But again not so great so we went to bed.

On Saturday after brunch we laid by the pool for quite a while. Just long enough for me to get sunburned. I was taking up every bit of sun and warmth as it was raining at home.
This is the Pool at the Casa Blanca and this was my view. It is very nice and even has a little water slide in the far back corner.

That night we headed over the local Theater to watch Eric's Grandmother dance. This is the whole reason we went down. She is on a Senior Tap Team called the Mesquite Toes. It was super cute to watch old ladies dance.

They had very cute costumes and did really well. Most of the ladies are right around 70.

That was a fun 2 hours. This is Grandma Shirley's last year dancing and I am glad I was able to see her perform.

After the performance we all went to the Eureka's new lounge. This time the band was a little better.

We had some great entertainment by the other patrons.

It was another fun night.

When we finally went back to our rooms Ann's room key did not work and she had to be escorted to her room. We all followed her and teased a little, okay, maybe a lot.

She had to verify it was actually her stuff in the room by matching her name on her drivers license to her name on her medication. It was pretty hilarious for us to watch.

I had a great time getting away for the weekend and I am so glad to have such a fun family. Thanks girls for the fun trip!!
